How To Use

FabricCare System

GlampGuard’s FabricCare System is designed for canvas and fabric glamping materials, including cotton canvas and woven tent fabrics. The system is built to safely clean, protect, and help extend the life of your fabric surfaces while maintaining their natural look and performance.

Products Used

  • FabricWash
  • FabricProtectant
  • Soft-Bristle Extension Brush or Soft-Bristle Brush Head
  • Foam cannon or low-pressure foam cannon if desired

Before You Start

Always begin with a cool, dry-to-damp surface out of direct midday sun. Remove loose dirt, dust, pollen, and debris before applying product. Test in a small, inconspicuous area before full use.

Step 1: Rinse or Dry Brush Off Loose Debris

Start by removing loose dirt, leaves, pollen, and surface debris. A light rinse helps prevent grinding dirt deeper into the fabric during cleaning.

Step 2: Apply FabricWash

Apply FabricWash evenly across the fabric surface. For larger areas, a foam cannon can help lay down product quickly and evenly. For smaller areas or spot cleaning, apply directly by hand.

Work in manageable sections so the product does not dry before you have a chance to clean it in.

Step 3: Agitate Gently

Use the soft-bristle brush to gently agitate the surface. Focus on areas with visible dirt, organic buildup, weathering, or staining. Do not scrub aggressively. Let the cleaner do the work.

Step 4: Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse the fabric thoroughly with clean water until residue and loosened contamination are fully removed.

If needed, repeat the cleaning process on heavier buildup or neglected areas.

Step 5: Apply FabricProtectant

Once clean, apply FabricProtectant evenly over the surface. Use smooth, overlapping passes to ensure full coverage without oversaturating any one area. Allow to dwell for 1-2 minutes then gently rinse.

Pay close attention to high-exposure surfaces that take the most sun, rain, and environmental wear.

Maintenance Tips

  • Clean regularly to prevent deep buildup.
  • Reapply FabricProtectant as needed depending on weather exposure, cleaning frequency, and overall wear.
  • Heavily exposed structures may require more frequent maintenance than lightly used or shaded structures.

VinylCare System

GlampGuard’s VinylCare System is formulated for vinyl and PVC materials used in modern glamping structures, including clear windows, vinyl canvas, and coated synthetic panels. The system is designed to maintain clarity, flexibility, and appearance while helping protect against sun exposure and environmental wear.

Products Used

  • ClearView
  • VinylWash
  • VinylProtectant
  • UltraSoft Microfiber Towel
  • Soft-Bristle Brush or foam cannon where appropriate

Before You Start

Always use the vinyl system on a cool surface out of direct midday sun. Remove loose dust and debris first. Test all products on a small inconspicuous area before full application.

Step 1: Clean Vinyl and PVC Surfaces with VinylWash

Apply VinylWash to vinyl canvas, coated panels, and other vinyl surfaces. For larger areas, use a foam cannon or low-pressure foam cannon for faster, more even coverage.

Work one section at a time and use a soft-bristle brush where needed to loosen dirt, grime, or organic buildup.

Step 2: Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse all cleaned vinyl surfaces thoroughly with clean water to remove loosened contamination and remaining cleaner.

Do not allow heavy cleaner residue to remain on the surface.

Step 3: Apply VinylProtectant

Apply VinylProtectant evenly to clean vinyl and PVC surfaces using smooth, even coverage. Spread uniformly and avoid heavy overapplication. Allow to dwell for 1-2 minutes, then gently rinse.

This step helps create a protective barrier that supports easier maintenance and helps reduce the effects of sun and environmental exposure over time.

Step 4: Clean Clear Windows with ClearView

Use ClearView on interior and exterior clear vinyl, PVC, TPU, acrylic, or polycarbonate window panels. Spray or apply directly to the surface, then wipe gently with the UltraSoft Microfiber Towel.

Use light pressure only. Flip to a clean side of the towel as needed to avoid dragging dirt across the surface.

For heavier buildup, repeat rather than scrubbing aggressively.

Maintenance Tips

  • Use ClearView regularly on clear panels to maintain clarity.
  • Use VinylWash for routine cleaning of vinyl and coated surfaces.
  • Reapply VinylProtectant as needed depending on exposure, climate, and cleaning frequency.
  • Frequent light maintenance is better than letting buildup sit for long periods.

Best Results Tips

  • Always start with the correct system for the material.
  • Do not use aggressive brushes on delicate finishes.
  • Do not clean hot surfaces in direct sun whenever possible.
  • Work in sections for more even cleaning and protection.
  • Regular maintenance helps reduce long-term staining, buildup, and wear.
